Leah Doz is a Canadian actress and filmmaker[1] originally from Edmonton, Alberta. She is of mixed race Black Jamaican and Eastern European Jewish heritage.[2]


She co-starred in the feature film Dead Lover[3] by Grace Glowicki, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival[4][5] and won the NEON Auteur Award at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival.[6] She co-starred in the Canadian independent feature films Adult Adoption (film)[7][8] and It's Not My Fault and I Don't Care Anyway.[9][10] Leah played Max Solomon in the Crave Original series New Eden.[11]

Her short film Strangers won the Grand Jury Prize and the Future of Film is Female Prize at the 2025 Nitehawk Shorts Festival in Brooklyn.[12]

Leah is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada's acting program.[13] She starred as Stella Kowalski in the Soulpepper Theatre Company's acclaimed revival production of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by former Artistic Director Weyni Mengesha.[14][15]

Leah was the recipient of a Dora Mavor Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance shared by the cast of Soulpepper Theatre Company's production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, directed by Joseph Ziegler.[16]
