Format

In each of their shorts, the duo reacts to videos related to Italian cuisine on YouTube and TikTok. Depending on how the dish was cooked or whether the duo liked the video or not, they say either "Approved!" or "Not approved!" at the end of the video. Because of that, the duo is sometimes jokingly known as the "pasta police". Most common "food felonies" shown in the videos include breaking spaghetti pasta[3] or putting pineapple on pizza.[2] Among frequently shown creators on the channel include Albert CanCook and Bayashi.[3]

Reception

The channel has gotten a positive reception from various people, with commenters calling their Doritos Lasagna "absolutely mouthwatering" or that seeing the duo approve it makes them want it even more.[4] For example, Grant St. Clair from Boing Boing said that "Matteo and Emiliano's collective willingness to mentally torture themselves for entertainment must be applauded".[5]
