MCFC was conceived initially by Co-Owner Matthew Vogt as an idea for a joke boxing show. This would entail someone from the Mayo Clinic boxing someone from Olmsted Medical and Kwik Trip vs Caseys. Then it was realized by Matthew Vogt Rochester, MN hasn't had a MMA event in more than a decade. So Matthew Vogt reached out to Jay Paulson about starting a promotion. It just so happened at that time he was interested in doing the same thing. Thus, MCFC was born
So far MCFC has done 3 total events. Named MCFC 1, MCFC 2, and MCFC 3. MCFC has quickly conquered the MMA scene in MN and on their first show with pros. Main Event winner on MCFC 2 Tyler Mathison got an opportunity in Bellator.
