Mohammad Sovon Chowdhury (born 16 April 1993) is a Bangladeshi sport shooter who competes primarily in rifle events, including 10 m air rifle and 50 m rifle three positions (3P). He has represented Bangladesh at the South Asian Games on multiple occasions, in ISSF competitions, and has competed at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. Over a competitive career spanning more than eighteen years, he has accumulated nine international medals and twenty national medals, representing Bangladesh in twenty-one international competitions including six ISSF World Cups.[1] [2]

Early life and education

Chowdhury was born on 16 April 1993 in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. He began practising shooting in 2005 and started competing in 2007.[1]

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Manufacture & Technology from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) , where his thesis focused on SCATT-based performance analytics in precision shooting.[2] [3][4]
