Early life
Niharika was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and raised in Bengaluru, Karnataka in a Telugu family. Her parents are native to Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.[3] Telugu is her mother tongue and can also speak Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and English.[4]
She completed her B. Tech. degree at B.M.S. College of Engineering, in Bengaluru and then relocated herself to Los Angeles,[5] where she pursued her MBA at the Chapman University in California.[6]
Career
Niharika began her career as a YouTuber in the late 2010s,[7] where she gained much popularity through her comedic videos, while her breakthrough came with the "Types" series, where she humorously depicted different personality traits and scenarios.[8] Apart from YouTube, she is also an active creator on Instagram, making her gain 1 Million followers by the end of 2020.[9] By 2021, she had become one of the most followed digital creators in India, collaborating with film celebrities, international brands and YouTube channels like Jordindian.[10] The same year, she made her guest appearance in Nextflix YouTube show, Behensplaining.[11] She was featured in Forbes India's 30 Under 30 list in 2022.[12]
Niharika played a voice role in the Netflix animated sitcom Big Mouth (2023).[13] In early-2025, it was reported that Niharika has signed a three-film deal with Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films to play the lead actress,[1] out of which, the debut film titled, Perusu was released in March 2025.[14]
