Insparation
On August 1st, 2023 Echo VR shut the servers down for good. Echo VR was a game where you play in an enclosed space, there are 2 floating goals one on each side of the arena, and there is a frisbee that you have to throw into the goals. Kerestell Smith was involved in playing Echo VR, He was playing in tournaments, winning money. Kerestell Smith was already the proud owner of Gorilla Tag which was a huge success. Shortly after Echo VR shut down Kerestell Smith or "Lemming" tweeted something like "We won't let zero gravity VR esports stop." Which led the Gorilla Tag community to think he was working on a new game. This led to a Vegas Event on October 14th, 2023 which revealed that Another Axiom is working on A2 or Orion Drift. On August 20th, 2024 Orion Drift had a YouTube channel and posted a developer snapshot that showed everything in the game. Then after a long-awaited arrival on February 25th, 2025, the game was released in an open early access.
