Comment: Has the game received any other reviews from sources listed in WP:VG/S other than Nintendo Life? A lot of this is what you'd consider WP:PRIMARY as a database, game link or interview source. VRXCES (talk) 09:07, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Gameplay
Overmorrow is a nonviolent exploration adventure game in which players explore an island environment, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover secrets through discovery-based progression. The game emphasises exploration and experimentation rather than explicit objectives or guidance.[1]
A central mechanic of the game is its 30-day in-game time limit. Players must uncover the island’s mysteries within this period, advancing time through resting. Upon reaching the limit, the player’s save file is automatically deleted, requiring a restart. The mechanic is presented as a core structural design element rather than a traditional failure state.[2]
Development
Overmorrow was developed by solo independent developer Marcus Clarke under the studio name PixelManta. Clarke previously worked as a professional game developer at Sumo Digital in Sheffield, contributing to titles including Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Spyder.[3]
Clarke has described Overmorrow as an experimental nonviolent exploration game focused on discovery, environmental storytelling, and player interpretation. The game’s time-limit mechanic was designed as a central structural feature of its narrative experience.[4]
During its Kickstarter campaign, the project received coverage from GamesRadar+, which reported on Clarke’s reaction after the project exceeded its funding goal and enabled continued development, including support for a Nintendo Switch release as a stretch goal.[5]
Clarke also commented on broader industry concerns regarding Unity’s licensing changes and potential runtime fees affecting independent developers.[6]

Reception
Overmorrow received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Nintendo Life praised its atmospheric presentation and exploratory design, while noting that its experimental structure and progression systems may not appeal to all players. [1]
Adventure Gamers highlighted the game’s atmosphere and ambition, while noting that its unconventional structure and difficulty curve may limit accessibility for some players.[9]
