History
Operations under the POLSCA brand began on 30 March 2026 after the company POLSCA S.A. was founded by cooperation of 3 major Polish shipping companies - PŻB, PŻM, and Euroafrica Shipping Lines, which previously operated under the Polferries and Unity Line brands respectively.[4][5][2][6] The company took over services on the Świnoujście - Ystad, Świnoujście - Trelleborg and Gdańsk - Nynashamn routes.[7] On 6 July 2026 POLSCA launched operations on a new route, placing two ships on the Gdańsk - Karlshamn line.[8]
Routes
POLSCA operates the following routes from Poland to Sweden:
- Świnoujście - Ystad
- Świnoujście - Trelleborg
- Gdańsk - Karlshamn
- Gdańsk - Nynashamn[9]
The company competes with TT-Line, Finnlines, and Stena Line on these or similar routes. POLSCA is planning international expansion by launching a Rostock - Trelleborg/Ystad route later on in the future. [10] Switching hubs from Gdańsk to nearby Gdynia due to a small terminal at the former, is also under consideration.[10]
Fleet
As of summer 2026, POLSCA operates 10 ferries on 4 routes. One ship is loaned to Nouris El Bahr Ferries, and a further two are on order from Gdańsk Shipyard.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]
