Comment: Not enough WP:RS secondary source coverage to demonstrate notability. SocDoneLeft (talk) 18:47, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: Reference 3 does not significantly cover the subject and Reference 4, 5, and 6 are not independent of the subject. We are not trying to advertise the services of the school. Rather, we are trying to effectively summarize information from reliable secondary sources in a neutral point of view. Be aware of a promotional tone and keep in mind advertisement is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 00:27, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
History
Riverbend was founded in 2010 when two schools merged: Eliot Montessori School (1971-2010) and Natick Montessori (2000-2010).[1] In 2014, they broke ground on a new Children’s House building on the 5-acre property adjacent to the existing elementary school.[2] The home to the historic Pelitah Morse Tavern[3] was then renovated in 2017-18 to add additional academic classrooms, and in 2020, new buildings were opened to consolidate the campus into one location at 33 to 41 Eliot Street.[4] In 2024, Riverbend received a legacy gift of property in South Natick which became the Sheila and Frank Magullion Education and Retreat Center, a satellite campus down the road from the main campus in South Natick.
Campus
The main campus at 33 to 41 Eliot Street is a 5-acre property consisting of 6 buildings: Children’s House, the Lower Elementary building, the Upper Elementary building, the Middle School building, the gymnasium, and Admin House. The main campus also includes 2 playgrounds as well as athletic fields. The satellite campus at the Magullion Center on Pleasant Street in South Natick is also a 5-acre property with gardens, trees, a pond, and open grassy spaces used for Riverbend’s outdoor education program.

- The Toddler Program is for children 18 months to age 3. This program includes full day and half day options.

Curriculum
The Montessori Method focuses on the development of the whole child - cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Students work at their own pace while teachers guide them through the scope and sequence of the curriculum.[5] Students participate in extended work blocks each day in multi-age classrooms. The curriculum includes math, science, literacy, social studies, world languages, art, music, design lab, physical education, outdoor education, community service, and practical life skills. This curriculum is based on the pedagogy of Dr. Maria Montessori.[6]
Student Body
Riverbend School is a co-educational school with 200 students ranging from ages 18 months through 14 years. Students come from Natick, Wellesley, Dover, Needham, Sherborn, Framingham, Wayland, Westwood, and several other Massachusetts towns.
