  • Comment: You do not establish the notability of a band by referencing their music to its own presence on a streaming platform, which is what the overwhelming majority of the references here are. We're not looking for simple verification that their music exists, we're looking for evidence that their music has garnered media attention, which means that the article needs to be referenced to WP:GNG-worthy media coverage about them in reliable sources. Two previous members, shivan and OMNIPONY (or called OMNI) left the band during production of RUBBER and WFLYTD. shivan departed six impala on February 11, 2019 due to creative differences which made RUBBER his last contribution to six impala and OMNIPONY left the band on March 21, 2021 following allegations made against him.

History

six impala's YouTube channel was created in May 2017. six impala would upload on June 17th, 2017, their first single and visual music video named, the beast i worship consisted of remixes that derived from songs by Death Grips, drawing from the albums Exmilitary, Bottomless Pit, and Government Plates. After releasing their first song, from Mid-2017 through Late-March 2019, six impala made the singles to be put in a compilation album titled SIX IMPALA SINGLES COLLECTION. During this period, six impala performed live virtually only a few times.

2019-2020: RUBBER

On May 6, 2019, six impala released a teaser trailer for their debut album, RUBBER. Following the release, six impala released their first album independently, RUBBER, on May 23, 2019 and their VIP mix, RUBBER ALT on August 4, 2019 with the idea of RUBBER being a concept album for listeners to enjoy.[1]

2020-2023: WFLYTD

six impala posted two singles for their upcoming sophomore album which were EPSILON LOVE and SWEETSWEETSWEETLIKEBUBBLEGUM. six impala more than a year later, released their second album, WE FUCKING LOVE YOU TO DEATH (titled as WFLYTD) on August 10, 2020 and a nightcore version on September 26, 2020, both independently.

During the album’s production, members of six impala experienced creative disagreements while working toward a sound that would appeal broadly. In an interview, the group described conflict as a normal part of their creative process, stating that disagreements ultimately led to consensus and a shared goal within the band. Some reasons for the band to use their conflicts to their advantages was for "outside opinions of your work before you put it out, you would be missing out on important aspects of how your work comes across" or "builds a sort of shield from the anxiety surrounding how other people might view the end results" which gave the members a "more comforting" environment to create and finish WFLYTD. The band stated how working on WFLYTD was a "more collaborative project than RUBBER" as well as describing the creative process to be "contributed to some of the “fun” energy that went into the project as a whole." The music on WFLYTD incorporates multiple genres, including punk, digital hardcore, bubblegum music, and hyperpop. [1]

All the members of six impala at the time were all planning to meet up in March 2020 and July 2020 but due to Covid-19, their plans were delayed from isolation and quarantine. However, they were planning on performing at many online events "these next few months" to have their goal of presenting WFLYTD to the world before releasing it to streaming services.[1]

Between August 14, 2020 to September 18, 2020, six impala performed live at LAVAPALOOZA 2020, MEGAFEST 2020, SKYWARD+ 2020, FORMFAIR 2020, and LONER ONLINE 15 2020 from August 14, 2020 to September 18, 2020. They would continue to perform online in VRChat and Minecraft during this time.

On December 17th, 2021, six impala would remix Bring Me The Horizon's "Die4U" (stylised as "DiE4u") and rename it as "Die6U" (stylised as "DiE6u") by incorporating additional stylistic elements and blending multiple genres.[2][3]

six impala would collaborative with musical artist, MANON on her track called "TROLL ME" which included a lyric video.[4]

six impala would perform online again on September 16th, 2022, at AVYSS Circle where they conducted "sessions" and "reconstructed audio" making a 15 minute track with simple visuals using icons. The performance got premiered at SPREAD, one of the venues of AVYSS Circle, due to capacity limits in person.[5]

2023-present: EARWAX

On May 15, 2023, six impala released a trailer for their third album, EARWAX, which was scheduled for release on June 6, 2023. Following the release, the group released EARDRUM on May 16 and HATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATE on May 26. EARWAX was released at June 6, 2023, still independently as both WFLYTD and RUBBER. AVYSS Circle would comment on the release of EARWAX calling it, "a kaleidoscopic electronic screamo."[6]

In Mid-2024, six impala announced via their social media platforms that they will be going live for FORMFEST on July 12th, performing at Barboza in Seattle, Washington. The lineup for FORMFEST consisted K//////ATT, milkfish, and a cardboard cutout of NEUTRA. K//////ATT responded about the live show a day after on how they felt "right" performing and "daydreamed" on performing "a six impala show since the day we formed".

Cyan Sun Records would interview six impala a day after they performed live and asked "...use three words to describe LP4" or "what it might look like." K//////ATT would respond to say "AFFLUX, green, and lead by Helvetican," revealing the name of their 4th album.

Almost a year later, six impala posted a video on their Youtube channel titled SIX IMPALA LIVE IN GERMANY. The video had links for the Unexpected Music festival and confirmed that the group would perform in Club Rote Sonne in Munich, Germany. The festival was scheduled to take place between May 1 and May 3, 2025, with Helvetican joining K//////ATT and milkfish for the live performances.

On Dec 19, 2025, six impala announced their first ever performance in Japan at February 28, 2026 in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower.
