Early life and education
Hashmi was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed a Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering from the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology and later obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
Career
Hashmi initially gained attention through stand-up comedy performances and online videos shared on social media platforms during the late 2010s.[1]
In 2020 he began hosting the digital talk show To Be Honest, released on the streaming platform Nashpati Prime. The programme featured interviews with public figures.[1]
In 2022 Hashmi left the programme to host the comedy talk show Hasna Mana Hai on Geo News, marking his transition from digital media to mainstream television.[2]
He co-hosted the 21st Lux Style Awards in 2022.[3]
In 2026 it was reported that Hashmi would make his acting debut in the film Aag Lagay Basti Mein, directed by Bilal Atif Khan.[4]
