Tun Razak Library (Malay: Perpustakaan Tun Razak) is a public library located at the city of Ipoh and the state of Perak. It was orignally a 2 storey building until it got expanded to 6 storey building. It was also similarly named after the second prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein.[1]

History
Initially known as Ipoh Juvenile Library and was managed by Rotary Club Ipoh in 1931. The effort to establish the library continued in 1950 and even the Menteri Besar of Perak's Dato Panglima Bukit Gantang, Haji Abdul Wahab bin Toh Muda Aziz laid the founding stone. In 1957, the first floor of the library was completed and opened by DYMM Raja Muda Perak. the Ipoh City Council took over in 1961 and re-named the library to be known as the "Ipoh Library". On the 6th of July 1976, the library located on Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, it was opened to public but it was not officially opened until the 11th of November 1977 where the widow of the late Abdul Razak Hussein officiate it and also re-named the library after the second prime minister of Malaysia. Also in 1990, the RM2.8 million expansion of adding 4 more floors of the library was completed and opened to the public. At December 1995, SISPUKOM which was also known as the Computerized Library System was introduced.[2]
Building
The 6 storey library have a floor area of 18,821 square feet (1,748 square meters). The ground floor got newspapers and magazines. The first to third floor have Malay, Arabic, children & English books. Fourth floor to fifth floor have Chinese, Tamil, reference books, publications & newspaper archive. It also got an auditorium, a reading garden and play area for children.
Arts

In 2021, the library officially had some new murals which took three weeks to complete. It was one of the first public buildings at Ipoh to show a new makeover for the library.[3]
