Ty Morse is an American entrepreneur, composer, and documentary film producer. He is the founder of the mobile marketing technology company Songwhale and has served as an executive producer on multiple documentary films.

Early career and music
Morse began his career in music and stage composition. He co-created rock operas based on classic literary works, including Frankenstein: The Rock Opera and Beowulf. Frankenstein: The Rock Opera, written while Morse was a student at Davidson College, was performed at Davidson College and later received a professional staged reading in New York City.[1][2][3]
He later co-founded the independent record label Royalty, Etc. Records and released two albums under the label.[4]
Before launching his technology ventures, Morse worked in media and music-related roles including work connected with Discovery Channel and Virgin Records.[5]
Morse has been profiled in regional business and technology publications regarding his transition from music composition to technology entrepreneurship and his leadership of Songwhale.[6][7]
Songwhale and entrepreneurship
Morse co-founded Songwhale, a mobile marketing and messaging technology company headquartered in Pittsburgh. His leadership of the company and its international expansion were covered in regional and national business publications, including the Pittsburgh Business Times and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.[8][9]
Songwhale was also featured in a televised segment on PBS highlighting the company’s growth and operations.[10]

Morse founded Time Horse Productions, a documentary film production company.[12]

Time Horse Productions' documentary No Packers No Life follows the Japanese Packers Cheering Team's multi-year journey from Tokyo to attend Green Bay Packers games in Wisconsin.[13][14]
The film received additional coverage in the Green Bay Press-Gazette, which profiled the cultural connection documented in the film.[15]
Strange Negotiations
Morse served as Executive Producer of the documentary Strange Negotiations, which was selected for the SXSW Film Festival.[16]
Mockbuster
Morse is an Executive Producer of the documentary Mockbuster, which won the Adelaide Film Festival and was selected for the Santa Barbara Film Festival.[17][18]
