Sudden deletion of infobox content

@LAsQuoteGirl Could I ask why you're actively deleting content from the infobox? It looks like you're trying to manually revert it to a previous state (which I would argue against anyways) and at the same time changing the parameters in a way that obscures all the information inside of them. I'm not trying to remove information or undo anyone's work. I'm working on improving this draft and was trying to update the infobox based on the information and structure I've been working with Jesse Ridgway, himself. I noticed there were multiple people editing the infobox at the same time, which caused some conflicts, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to combine everything rather than overwrite anyone's changes. Please clarify, are you stating you are working directly with Jesse Ridgeway on an article about him? UppercutPawnch (talk) 02:31, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
Yes that is correct LAsQuoteGirl (talk) 02:32, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
WP:COI editing is heavily discouraged on Wikipedia, and I am going to ask you to refrain from doing so. Additionally much of the information you are getting directly from him is likely not usable anyways as it needs to very strictly come from WP:Reliable Sources, a standard further heightened on biographies of living people. You also seem to be very new to editing, especially looking at your source edits to the infobox. I would advise you to go through Help:Introduction before returning to edit, though I would still discourage you from editing anything related to Ridgeway or making the article look like the other draft that you seem to have largely made. I understand the concerns regarding COI and sourcing. I want to clarify that my intention is not to bypass Wikipedia’s guidelines or use unsourced information. I have spent significant time researching and compiling information from publicly available sources, and I’m trying to make sure the article meets Wikipedia’s standards. And to clarify, my involvement was primarily focused on researching, organizing information, and verifying details for accuracy. I understand the importance of keeping the article based on independent reliable sources and following Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding COI. LAsQuoteGirl (talk) 18:10, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
