Esfanjan (Persian: اسفنجان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Sahand Rural District[4] in the Central District of Osku County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,660 in 1,060 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,832 people in 1,206 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,544 people in 1,168 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
