Future Street is the second album by American jazz rock band Pages. It was released in October 1979 by Epic Records.
Like their previous album, it was produced by Blood, Sweat & Tears drummer Bobby Colomby. During the recording sessions, original members Peter Leinheiser and Russ Battelene left the band. They were replaced by guitarist Charles "Icarus" Johnson and drummer George Lawrence, respectively. Battelene played drums on two tracks before leaving, "The Sailor's Song" and "Take My Heart Away." According to Page, “Jerry, Steve, and myself were writing all the music but it just didn’t sound right. Everybody knew it, but it was left unspoken for a long time because of that lingering bond. With Charles and George, everything went perfect for the first time. The potential was just staring us in the face.”[1]
Reception
The song "Who's Right, Who's Wrong" was written by Richard Page with Kenny Loggins. Earlier that same year, Loggins released his own version of the song on his album Keep the Fire. Loggins' version featured Page and Michael Jackson on background vocals. The song was also recorded by The Four Tops on their 1981 album Tonight!, and by Marva King on her 1981 album Feels Right.
The album yielded one single, "I Do Believe in You." It peaked at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the band's only single to chart. The song was later recorded by America (with Page on background vocals) on their 1980 album, Alibi, and by Frank Stallone on his 1984 self-titled debut album.
