GigaChat

GigaChat is a generative artificial intelligence chatbot developed by the Russian financial services corporation Sberbank. It was launched in a closed testing mode in April 2023 and is positioned as a Russian alternative to ChatGPT.[1][2]
The model is multimodal, meaning it can generate text, answer questions, and create images from text descriptions. It is also capable of writing software code.[3][1] Sberbank claims the chatbot communicates better in the Russian language than other foreign-based chatbots.[1][4] By February 2024, it had accumulated over 2.5 million users.[5]
