Hisao Arakane (荒金 久雄, Arakane Hisao; born August 1, 1978) is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder, and current fourth squad fielder supervisor and defense and base running coordinator for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).[1]
He played in NPB for the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks, and Orix Buffaloes.[2]
Arakane went on to PL Gakuen High School and participated the 78rd Japanese High School Baseball Championship in the summer of his junior year.[3]
He also went on to Aoyama Gakuin University, where he won the 1999 Japan National Collegiate Baseball Championship.[3]
