Hopedale Township is located in Tazewell County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,913 and it contained 806 housing units.[2] Hopedale Township changed its name from Highland Township on May 20, 1850.
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 35.21 square miles (91.2 km2), of which 35.19 square miles (91.1 km2) (or 99.94%) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.052 km2) (or 0.06%) is water.[2]
