Howmeh Rural District (Persian: دهستان حومه) is in the Central District of Abhar County, Zanjan province, Iran.[5] Its capital is the village of Nurin.[6] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Sharifabad,[3] now a neighborhood in the city of Abhar.[7]
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 12,543 in 3,259 households.[8] There were 6,448 inhabitants in 1,890 households at the following census of 2011.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,045 in 1,982 households. The most populous of its 33 villages was Qerveh, with 2,686 people.[4]
