Hyphaenieae is a subtribe of plants in the family Arecaceae found mostly in Madagascar and mainland Africa.[1] Genera in the subtribe, all of which are monotypic, are:[2]

- Hyphaene – Africa, Indian Ocean
- Medemia – Upper Nile (Sudan, Egypt)
