Kaban is a rural locality in the Tablelands Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Kaban had a population of 94 people.[1]

The locality takes its name from the former railway station; it is an Aboriginal word, meaning place of the sugar glider.[2]
Kaban State School opened in 1924.[3] It closed in 1927.[4] In 1928, the school building was removed for re-erection at Moresby.[5]
