Kiar-e Gharbi Rural District

Kiar-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان كيار غربي)[a] is in the Central District of Kiar County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[5] It is administered from the city of Shalamzar.[6]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Kiar District in Shahrekord County) was 15,352 in 3,898 households.[7] There were 9,814 inhabitants in 2,979 households at the following census of 2011,[8] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kiar County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,011 in 2,893 households. The most populous of its 12 villages was Kharaji (now in Kharaji Rural District),[9] with 2,880 people.[3]
