Kimberley Airport (IATA: KIM, ICAO: FAKM) is an airport located in the Northern Cape province that serves Kimberley,[2] the capital city of the province and its surrounding areas.

It was established in 1912. The airport is approximately 6.5 kilometers (12 minutes) away from the centre of Kimberley.[4] Annually, the airport handles around 170,000 passengers and 7400 flights. Airlines Airlink and CemAir provides regular domestic flights in South Africa between Cape Town International Airport and Johannesburg–O.R. Tambo International Airport.

Facilities

The airport is at an elevation of 3,950 feet (1,204 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 02/20 measuring 3,002 by 46 metres (9,849 ft × 151 ft) and 10/28 measuring 2,437 by 46 metres (7,995 ft × 151 ft).[1]
