- Charles McLean Andrews (1863–1943) was an American historian at Columbia University and Yale University professor[1] whose "Colonial Period of American History, vol. 1 of 4,"[2] won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1935.[3][4] He graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, in 1884 and received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 1889.[5]
