Lucas A. Vignale (1997 – 14 June 2026) was an Argentine director and screenwriter.[1] He was best known for co-writing and co-directing the 2026 coming-of-age drama film The River Train along with Lorenzo Ferro.[2][3][4] Aside from his work on The River Train, he again co-wrote and co-directed the 2024 short film La Pasión along with Ferro.[5] He worked with Trueno, J Balvin and Bizarrap, and won a Gardel Award in 2022,[6][7] and was nominated for another one in 2024.[8]

In June 2026, Vignale was in Brazil and took part in events linked to Oliver Tree's first world tour, which promoted the album Love You Madly Hate You Badly. On 14 June 2026, Vignale, Gaspi, and Tree were among six people who died in a helicopter accident near Recreio dos Bandeirantes in Rio de Janeiro. As of 14 June 2026, the exact cause of the accident was still under investigation.[9][10]
