On 14 June 2026, a mid-air collision involving two helicopters killed six people in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Among the victims was American singer-songwriter Oliver Tree and Argentinian YouTuber Gaspi.[1][2]

The pilot of the first helicopter was identified as Alexandre Souza, while the passengers were Lucas Brito Chaves, Oliver Tree Nickell, Lucas Vignale, and Gaspar Prim. The sole occupant of the second helicopter was pilot Charles Marsillac.[3]
