Maud Rise

The Maud Rise (66°S 3°E / 66°S 3°E) is an oceanic plateau, which rises, at its shallowest, to depths of about 1,000 meters.[1] It is located in the Weddell Sea in the Southern Ocean. Its name was approved by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features in June 1987.[2]
