Mehdiabad (Persian: مهدي اباد)[a] is a village in Zarrin Gol Rural District[4] of the Central District in Aliabad-e Katul County,[b] Golestan province, Iran.

Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,748 in 618 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,909 people in 774 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,848 people in 860 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
