The Ministry of Information and Communication is a federal ministry of Nepal responsible for the oversight of the telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services. It was established in its current form on May 13, 2026, following the approval of the Nepal Government (Work Division) Regulations, 2083.[1]

As part of the Balendra Shah-led government's reform to reduce the number of ministries from 22 to 18, the formerly named Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was restructured, with its digital governance wings transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.[2]
