History

The locality takes its name from its railway station which is a Kabi word meaning stone.[2]

Moodlu Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 (a receiving office had been open from 1910) and closed in 1953.[6]

Wararba Provisional School opened circa 1884. On 1 January 1909, it became Waraba State School. In 1911, it was renamed Moodlu State School. The school closed on 4 July 1947.[7] It was on a 20-acre (8.1 ha) site at 199 Williams Road (27°03′31″S 152°54′39″E / 27.0587°S 152.9109°E / -27.0587; 152.9109 (Moodlu State School (former))).[8] The site is now the Caboolture Pony Club.[9]
