Barbara is a young princess woman who is always pursuing her dreams to marry a prince, but King Elijah, her daughter, always declines her dreams. Bundy Joyce, a postman, delivers a love letter from Prince Edward to Barbara, and he persuades her to deliver a true love's kiss to her. Barbara accidentally sends the letter to Elijah, and an angered Elijah confines Barbara to her room. Elijah then tells Barbara not to think about Edward. At her wedding, Barbara is forced to marry Joyce, but she escapes with Fireball, her horse, while Joyce gives chase on a motorcycle. The two end up in a forest, where Bogey, a monster, captures Barbara, and takes her to his hideout.
There, Barbara meets Bogey and a rabbit, and she tells them to take her to Edward's palace to marry Edward. Meanwhile, Joyce shares to Elijah about Barbara's capturing. Joyce examines a magic liquid dubbed "the Spark", which animates objects to life. Elijah explains to Joyce that the Spark, which he also explains that it was used to cure Barbara from being weak, was retrieved from a fountain by Elijah's soldiers 16 years prior, which triggered a cave in, but the soldiers escape. Joyce then decides to make robots with the Spark to find Bogey.
As Barbara, Bogey and the rabbit embark on a journey to Edward's palace, after a heated argument with the two about the ownership of the forest, Bogey tells her about Mother Nature, the source of life, and Barbara reveals who she really is. While the three camp in a cave, the rabbit shares that Bogey was originally a human, and got lost wandering in the magic fountain, when he was turned into a monster by the fountain, and was then subjected into protecting the forest.
The following day, Joyce's robots pursue Barbara and the rabbit, but are rescued by Bogey as they are cornered at the fountain. Meanwhile, Joyce discovers the group, and the fountain, exposing a secret from Elijah, and Joyce sets off to head to the fountain. Barbara and Bogey arrive at Edward's palace, but Barbara decides to go to the palace alone. There, she meets Edwardina, and Edwardina reveals that Edward is not real, and all of the messages sent to every women in the world are auto-reply letters made by a printing machine. Edwardina then imprisons Barbara in a hotel room. Bogey arrives, and reconciles with Barbara, and then he frees her.
Joyce and his robots arrive at the fountain, captures Bogey and Barbara, and begins to drain the fountain. Elijah intervenes and disables Joyce's robots. Joyce drinks up all of the Spark from a pumping tank to turn himself into a monster. A tornado forms above the fountain which sucks in Joyce, before all of the fountain is drained out. Barbara, Bogey, and the rabbit lose their magic with the fountain gone. Bogey decides to step in, the fountain is briefly restored, and he sacrifices himself to revive Barbara.
Many days later, at a snowy day, as Barbara pays a visit to the fountain, the fountain refills, and Bogey is revived in his normal human form.
