Neerja Bhatla is an Indian gynecologist and obstetrician. She was conferred the Padma Shri in 2025,[1][2] one of India’s highest civilian honours, in recognition of her contributions to women's healthcare.[3]

She became the first Indian to serve as president of the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and led the 2018 revision of FIGO’s staging guidelines for cervical cancer.[4][5]
