Nisha Mehta (Nepali: निशा मेहता; born 07 August 1987) is a Nepalese politician and nurse,[2] serving as the Minister of Health and Population and Minister of Water Supply under the Prime Minister Balendra Shah. She belongs to the Kushwaha (Koiri) caste of Nepal.[3][4]
Mehta was elected to the Pratinidhi Sabha from Rastriya Swatantra Party at the 2026 general election. She was elected from the party list under the Madheshi female cluster.[1]
Mehta was born in Inaruwa, Sunsari district, Koshi Province.[5] She completed her postgraduate degree in Nursing from Post Graduate College of Nursing, Gwalior affiliated to Jiwaji University, Madhya Pradesh, India, where she developed expertise in patient care, healthcare management, and public health.[6]
