Peter Sarris

Peter Sarris is a British and a Cypriot historian of late antiquity. As of 2025, Sarris is a professor at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the reign of Justinian I in the sixth century AD.[1] In 2023 his book Justinian: Emperor, Soldier, Saint was published by Basic Books.[2][3][4][5]
Sarris attended Balliol College, Oxford, as an undergraduate, and was subsequently a prize fellow at All Souls College, Oxford.[1]
