Operations
The airport is used for music festivals during the summer and is home to the Military History Museum Piešťany. Its airport layout is considerably different from other airports as the terminal building is not adjacent with the runway. Cavok Air sometimes uses one of their Antonov An-12 planes to distribute cargo to a handful of places including Leipzig Halle Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.[citation needed]
The Grand Tour special, "Eurocrash", released on 16 June 2023, featured a drag race on the runway.[1]
