Pir Bazar Rural District

Rural district in Gilan province, Iran From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pir Bazar Rural District (Persian: دهستان پيربازار)[5] is in the Central District of Rasht County, Gilan province, Iran.[6] Its capital is the village of Mobarakabad.[7] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Pir Bazar,[3] now a city.[7]

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the rural district's population was 21,374 in 5,845 households.[8] There were 16,958 inhabitants in 5,163 households at the following census of 2011.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 16,609 in 5,542 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Pir Bazar (now a city),[7] with 5,373 people.[4]
