Robiul Alam Robi (Bengali: রবিউল আলম রবি) is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter and producer. He gained recognition as the director of the streaming series Unoloukik released on Chorki in 2021.[1][2] His other works include Cafe Desire, Forget Me Not and the 2020 Academy Award country submission anthology film Sincerely Yours, Dhaka.[3][4][5] His theatrical debut Sincerely Yours, Dhaka had its world premiere at the 2018 Busan International Film Festival.[6] He is also the screenwriter of the critically acclaimed series Guti, Myself Allen Swapan, Boli released on the OTT platform Chorki and Hoichoi.[7] His upcoming film Kill Me Like a Dog (Bangladesh–Norway, 2026) received the K13 Studios Award, Filmfest Hamburg 2025.[8] His another upcoming feature Suraiya secures Berlinale World Cinema Fund: Current Funding Recommendations 2025[9]
Robi's interest in filmmaking began during his university days. He created several short films while studying at Dhaka University and directed two episodes in the anthology series Prajanmo Talkies.[10] After completing his MA in Film Studies from Jadavpur University, he became actively involved in film production. Throughout his career, Robi has written, directed and produced a diverse range of films and series.[11]

Dhaka University: Centennial Illumination is a 2021 short documentary co-directed by Robiul Alam Robi. It was commissioned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the University of Dhaka's establishment.
