Samuel Joseph Dente (April 26, 1922 – April 21, 2002) was an American shortstop in Major League Baseball who played for five different teams between 1947 and 1955. Listed at 5 ft 11 in (1.80 m), 175 lb., Dente batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Harrison, New Jersey and played high school baseball at Kearny High School.[1]
