Samikchya Baskota (Nepali: समिक्ष्या बास्कोटा) is a Nepalese politician serving as a member of parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party.[1][2] She was elected as a member of the 7th Pratinidhi Sabha through the Proportional Representation system from the Khas Arya women cluster in the 2026 General Election.[3][4] Baskota serves as a Chairperson of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee for Rastriya Swatantra Party under the House of Representatives since April 2026.[5][6]

Baskota also holds a Central committee membership of Rastriya Swatantra Party.[7][8] She was a former chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party which was later merged to Rastriya Swatantra Party ahead of the 2026 election.[9][10][11]She contested and was defeated in a 2022 Kathmandu municipal election.[12] She holds LLB from Kathmandu School of Law under Kathmandu University.[13]
