Shambhuraj Desai

Shambhuraj Shivajirao Desai (born 17 November 1966) is an Indian politician and Shiv Sena leader (Eknath Shinde Faction) from Satara district, Maharashtra.[1] He is a member of the 14th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.[2] He represents the Patan Assembly Constituency.[3] He had been elected to Vidhan Sabha for four terms in 2004, 2014 , 2019 and 2024.[4]

- 1997-99: Chairman of Maharashtra Cooperation Council (Minister of State status) [7]
- 2004: Elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly[4]
- 2014: Re-elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly[4]
- 2019: Re-elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly[2]
- 2019: Appointed minister of state for Home (Rural), Finance and Planning, State Excise, Marketing, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship[8][9]
- 2020: Appointed guardian minister of Washim district[10]
- 2023: Appointed guardian minister of Satara district & Thane District Additional charge (Second) on Government of Maharashtra .
- 2023: Appointed the Minister of state Excise & state Border Defence (second) in October 2022.
