Shatov (Russian: Шатов) is a rural locality (a khutor) in Plotavsky Selsoviet Rural Settlement, Oktyabrsky District, Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 7 (2010 census);[2] 18 (2002 census);[9]

Geography
The khutor is located in the Vorobzha River basin (a left tributary of the Seym River), 62 km (39 mi) from the Russia–Ukraine border, 27 km (17 mi) south-west of Kursk, 15 km (9.3 mi) south-west of the district center – the urban-type settlement Pryamitsyno, 2 km (1.2 mi) from the selsoviet center – Plotava.[10]
