Sherpao

The Sherpao family is a cadet branch of the Kheshgi family.
As their name suggests, they are found in the village of Sherpao in the Hashtnagar area of Charsadda District, Pakistan. Sherpao, the common ancestor of the family, was the grandson of Muhammad, the common ancestor of the Muhammadzai branch of the Kheshgi family. According to Captain E. G. G. Hastings in 1878, the Sherpao had only one high-land hamlet named Dakai, as their other lands were lost to surrounding tribes.Among the Sufi shrines are babagan sherpao which are hazrat syed muhammad yusaf baba and there's sons syed hazrat talab din, syed hazrat saifuddin and syed hazrat gul noor baba.they are syed which are descendants from syed jamal bukhari(RA) Every day hundreds of people visit these shrines to pay their respect to the Sufis.there shrine are present in village mian kali, Sherpao babagan were a famous Sufis and preachers of Islam. Sherpao babagan descendants are in sherpao and kaniwer which are locally called as Miangaan, syedan,bachayan.[1]
