Taiwan Go Go (台灣前進陣線) is a political alliance organized in Taiwan since 16 December 2025 by four small extraparliamentary parties, namely New Power Party, Taiwan Obasang Political Equality Party, Taiwan Statebuilding Party, and Green Party Taiwan along with independents. The 2026 Taiwanese local elections will be its first campaign.[2][3]

The name of the alliance refers to an incident during the 1971 Little League World Series in which the organization World United Formosans for Independence hired a small airplane to display a banner with the slogan “Go Go Taiwan” by flying over the stadium during the final game.[1] The logo of the alliance depicts a flying fish.[4][5]
History
On 9 September 2025, the New Power Party, Taiwan Statebuilding Party, Green Party Taiwan, and Taiwan Obasang Political Equality Party held a joint press conference to announce a coalition and sign a joint declaration of cooperation, agreeing to jointly recommend a single candidate per electoral district for the 2026 Taiwanese local elections in order to maximize their chances of winning seats.[6][7] Three months later, on 16 December 2025, the four parties officially established the "Taiwan Forward Alliance" (Taiwan Go Go) during a press conference titled "Taiwan Forward Alliance Press Conference: Third Force, Moving Forward Together". The alliance issued an "Action Plan" and aimed to build a "responsible, predictable, and trustworthy third force" to displace the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) and foster four-party cooperation for the 2026 elections.[8][9][10][11]
Heading into 2026, the alliance began announcing its candidate slate for the local elections in successive waves. On 6 January 2026, the alliance introduced its initial wave of nominations, fielding seven city and county councilor candidates.[12][13][14] Shortly after, on 23 January, the New Power Party held a press conference specifically for its nominations in Hsinchu City, putting forward three incumbent Hsinchu City Councilors.[15] The alliance announced its second wave of seven county and city councilor candidates on 10 March,[16] followed by a third wave of five councilor candidates on 30 March.[17] On 9 June 2026, a fourth wave was unveiled, consisting of eight county and city councilor candidates and three township representative candidates.[18]
