5th placed teams in the Premier League can now qualify for the UEFA Champions League as of the 24-25 season. That isn't being shown on the table on this page yet and I think it should be. BlueOtaku8000 (talk) 12:43, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

The title 2025-26 Premier League looks a little, unfamiliar. And it doesn't exactly refer to the season. Perhaps changing the title to 2025-26 Premier League 'season' will go better. @Govvy: Were these changes even discussed? I could not find any discussion about these changes at WT:FOOTBALL or other related talk pages. Therefore, I restored the consistent format at 2025–26 and 2026–27 pages. However, at 2026–27 page an IP editor came and reverted with the reason "We are moving to a new map format for the 2026/27 season". It looks like that some IP editor has decided to change the format without discussion and has been changing it for all English leagues. – sbaio 19:26, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

I am not sure how it makes any difference? If Aston Villa get a Champions League spot by league position (i.e. top 4) then they don't get one from winning the Europa League. It's only if they finish 5th that the European Performance Slot moves down to 6th, which is possible, but far from guaranteed. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 06:47, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
