Talk:2026 Invasion Day protest bombing attempt

Creating article

I was wondering whether I should start a draft article on this topic? I think it could do with its own article given that it has been covered in the Australian and international media (including New Zealand), and has been classified as an attempted terror incident It could drawn upon content from 2026 in Australia, Terrorism in Australia and List of terrorist incidents in Australia. Any thoughts? Andykatib (talk) 08:42, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

Invasion Day threats at other locations?

This might fit somewhere? But I'm not sure:

In the absence of any direct and specific connection between the two events, it does not warrant a mention. Mitch Ames (talk) 08:28, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
It's relatively a short article, it would be worthwhile considering expanding to include related incidents.
Also, did you read the link to see if there was a link?

Even if the article is "relatively short" (relative to what?), that does not mean that we should pad it out with irrelevant material about something else.
I did read https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01-23/nsw-australia-day-mosque-threat-police-investigation/106260802 and did not see any direct and specific connections between the events.
Please stop trying to turn articles into COATRACKs. Mitch Ames (talk) 02:00, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
It was just a suggestion and there are numerous Wikipedia pages about more than one event. Late Night Coffee (talk) 11:31, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
