Genre

The genre that Anyma plays is a fusion of Progressive Trance & Techno. What the text describes by elements of classical music and ambient is Progressive Trance exactly. Hi, you've finally decided to engage with other editors instead of stubbornly restoring your preferred content! Unfortunately, you can't simply add content on Wikipedia without also providing supporting references, which so far, you haven't done. If you wish to change the genres listed in the article, please find references that support your claims, and in the meantime, stop making disruptive edits. I do not think progressive trance accurately represent's Anyma's music. This may be original research, but to me progressive trance sounds uplifting in contrast to the dark and moody atmosphere in Anyma's music, which is shared with many other artists that classify their genre as Melodic Techno (Tale of Us, Miss Monique, Artbat to name a few). I am well aware. I found it to be a little difficult to find sources discussing the genre specifically. I did find two, hopeful'y deters the genre warriors. I also want to note that Anyma is signed to Afterlife Records, many of the artists whome are signed to classify the genre of their music as Melodic Techno and Progressive House. Is that really Matteo?

I just noticed an account that seemingly belongs to Anyma uploaded a bunch of pictures to commons we can finally use on the article as it expands. My understanding is that they aren't official releases on his label. So maybe it would be more accurate to say "not a label release"? PSPazW (talk) 14:18, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

@PSPazW If these releases are available to stream on his official artist page, then they count as Anyma releases, regardless of the publisher or recording company. The current phrasing doesn’t really add value to the article and could be deleted altogether. épine _♬ 23:34, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

I am Alessio De Vecchi, the Visual Co-Creative Director of Anyma. I am disclosing my conflict of interest per Wikipedia policy.

I am requesting that independent editors review the following proposed changes. All changes are supported by reliable sources, several of which are already cited in this article.

Context

The article currently mentions me twice in passing:

"Accompanying the album were visual elements from Tobias Gremmler and Alessio De Vecchi"
"Anyma collaborated with Alessio De Vecchi and Alexander Wessely on the visuals for the shows"

However, the reliable sources cited in this article — particularly the Variety article by Steven J. Horowitz (already ref #18 in this article) — contain significantly more detail about the visual creative team's role. The current text understates what these sources actually say.

I am not requesting any change that goes beyond what is stated in Variety, Billboard, and Sphere Entertainment Co.'s own press materials.

Proposed change 1: Solo debut section (2021)

Current text:

"Matteo Milleri of Tale of Us launched the musical project Anyma in 2021."

Proposed text:

"Matteo Milleri of Tale of Us launched the musical project Anyma in 2021, developing the project's visual identity in collaboration with visual artist Alessio De Vecchi, who has been involved since the project's inception.^[1]"

Source: Already cited in article — Variety (January 13, 2025): "De Vecchi, who first met Milleri after he pestered him on Instagram for a meeting, has been involved since Anyma's inception, beginning with the robot Eva head that would inevitably grow to include a body."

This is a direct factual statement from the article's own existing reference.

Proposed change 2: Sphere residency section

Current text:

"Anyma collaborated with Alessio De Vecchi and Alexander Wessely on the visuals for the shows."

Proposed text:

"The residency's visual production was led by visual co-creative director Alessio De Vecchi, who had been the project's visual creative director since its inception, alongside head creative and stage designer Alexander Wessely.^[1]^[2]^[3]"

Sources:

Variety (already cited): "De Vecchi and Alexander Wessely, as Milleri's core creative team, oversaw all aspects of production" — identifies De Vecchi as "visual co-creative director"
Billboard (May 2025): "Anyma's longtime visual creative director and lead CG artist Alessio De Vecchi"
Sphere Entertainment Co. (official press release): "Collaborations include art direction by visual co-creative director, Alessio De Vecchi, executive production by head creative and stage designer, Alexander Wessely"

The current phrasing "collaborated with" significantly understates what all three sources describe. Variety and Billboard identify De Vecchi with specific titles and roles. The official Sphere Entertainment press release provides the institutional credit.

Proposed change 3: Visual arts and fashion section

Current text:

"In 2024, he was the visual creative director for the Weeknd's One Night Only concert in São Paulo, Brazil."

Proposed text:

"In 2024, he was the visual creative director for the Weeknd's One Night Only concert in São Paulo, Brazil, with Alessio De Vecchi serving as art director for the visuals.^[4]"

Source: EDM.com (September 2024): "Alessio De Vecchi, Anyma's own lead visual artist, was its Art Director."

Summary

These three changes:

Add no contested claims — every statement is directly sourced from Variety, Billboard, Sphere Entertainment Co., or EDM.com
Use titles given by the sources themselves, not self-assigned titles
Improve accuracy — the current article understates what its own cited sources say
Follow WP:NPOV — factual descriptions of credited roles, not promotional language

I understand that as a COI editor I should not implement these changes myself. I am requesting that independent editors review these proposals and implement them if they agree they improve the article's accuracy.
