Kami band

@DragonFury, regarding Kami band, I know they are technically session musicians but is there a consistent roster? I mean I think we're basically in a similar position here to members of Ghost (Swedish band) who aren't Tobias Forge. Simonm223 (talk) 13:49, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

(Adding minus the lawsuit of course.) Simonm223 (talk) 13:50, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
Depends on what you call consistent; Chris Kelly, CJ Masciantonio, and Anthony Barone have all consistently been a part of the Kami Band since the 2019 US Tour, and they've played every show since Babymetal Begins in April 2023. But the bass players has changed in that lineup, initially it was Clint Tustin, then Ryan Neff, and most recently Matt Deis. And it was much the same with the Japanese Kami Band before them, with Boh and Hideki being mainstays. All of this unofficial of course, Amuse or the band does not make any kind of announcement on who is in the Kami Band. But they do make official announcement about the members of Babymetal, and those only included Su, Moa, and Momoko. DragonFury (talk) 14:04, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
Yeah I don't care as much about Amuse says as what we can verify but this all seems fine regardless. Thanks. Simonm223 (talk) 15:35, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

Tours

Concerning "Babymetal#Tours".

Is it normal to list tours like this, duplicating the years in parentheses:

  • Babymetal World Tour 2023–2024 (2023–2024);
  • Babymetal World Tour 2025 (2025)?

What are the guidelines? Just asking. --Moscow Connection (talk) 08:00, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

I can't find strong guidance on this (i.e. I just read four different relevant style pages and nothing). My suggestion would be for a bulleted list like this to leave out the parenthetical for tours where it would be identical to info in the tour title itself? (It'd be different if it was something like... I dunno... a table? There it wouldn't feel as weird to leave the years.) - Purplewowies (talk) 17:51, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

– Agree. I'm fine with doing it tomorrow if no one opposes. Let's just do it. --Moscow Connection (talk) 19:02, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
Done. Diff. I hope I did well. You are welcome to improve on that. --Moscow Connection (talk) 14:07, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
I've also removed some links that led to the same pages. --Moscow Connection (talk) 14:12, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

Metal Forth release date

I noticed the release date was changed to August 8th here, but on the official site it still shows it as June 27th with the Limited Edition version releasing on August 8th. I didn't do any edits since I wasn't sure if I missed something. Elgato2067 (talk) 03:35, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

An IP just added it today; I put a citation needed on it because I couldn't quickly find evidence. Normally I would just revert but I've got a bad headache and have learned the hard way over the years to avoid removing things if I can't put full focus on what I'm doing because that's when I make really silly mistakes. Could probably be removed if there isn't a source, though. - Purplewowies (talk) 03:54, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

Past part time Kami Band members

I would like for us to reprise the section listing all of the previous part time Kami Band members. I feel their removal is incredibly disrespectful to those members and their contributions as part of the band's history, and that fans deserve to know who all played a role over the years as well. Widdopc (talk) 22:01, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, the members who were removed had no reliable sources describing them as members. - Purplewowies (talk) 00:15, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
They are on video, and in some cases were named in printed interviews. 2601:4C1:4004:4F00:44FB:C29F:CDC1:40FC (talk) 00:29, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
Well, find wiki-suitable sources and put them in. North8000 (talk) 00:41, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
