Christian Bale is Welsh not English. Born in Wales. ~2025-38678-00 (talk) 10:15, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Not done: There is a notice at the top of this page and one that appears when you edit. Please read that regarding Christian's nationality. Bale is on record that he is not Welsh. Halbared (talk) 11:05, 6 December 2025 (UTC)- In short: A person is not Welsh just because his mother happened to be in Wales the day he was born. Largoplazo (talk) 13:17, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- That is exactly how it works. Your birthplace defines your nationality. ~2026-51947-9 (talk) 06:26, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- That's incorrect. In terms of citizenship, the rules vary from country to country, but, for example, the child of two Canadian (only) citizens who is born while his mother is in Japan is definitely a Canadian citizen and definitely not a Japanese citizen. In the case of Bale, there isn't even such a thing as Welsh citizenship. If you mean, by nationality, something other than citizenship, the child in my example is in no way going to be considered to be of Japanese nationality either.
- Finally, as the article says: Bale himself has made it clear that he isn't Welsh. Largoplazo (talk) 06:49, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

Not done: See above closed discussion and this archived discussion. Changing English to Welsh requires strong community consensus which must be achieved before making an edit request. — Rtrb (talk) (contribs) 22:25, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

This isn't a serious article. It's an ego stroke.
