Proposed merge of List of United States standard crochet hook and knitting needle sizes into Crochet hook

Crochet hook is not very long and has no content on the topic of sizing except a "see" pointer to this list. It would benefit from cited content. Knitting needle already has a more complete chart, so that portion of the List article is not needed (and possible WP:SYNTH to unify them at all). DMacks (talk) 18:25, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

To teachers and tutors of educational Wikipedia assignments

Please check your students' prospective edits before they publish. If you do not do that, you risk disappointment for your students. Nobody wants them to be discouraged. Tell them to use this rule: find the reference first, then cite facts from the reference in the article, and cite the reference next to the fact that you added (even if that reference is cited somewhere else in the article). That way, you can't go wrong, and your edit is unlikely to be deleted. What this article actually needs right now is a citation for each pre-existing fact in the article. Can you help your students do that? If we are lucky, you and your students will find a reference with new facts about crochet in it, as well. Storye book (talk) 16:18, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
